(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins will be unrecognizable when they take the field in Cleveland against the Guardians tonight. Minnesota traded away eight players yesterday ahead of the trade deadline. The Twins sent All-Star shortstop Carlos Correa back to the Houston Astros in a salary dump. The team also sent outfielder Harrison Bader to the Phillies, reliever Griffin Jax to the Rays, reliever Louis Varland and first baseman Ty France to the Blue Jays, reliever Brock Stewart to the Dodgers, left-handed pitcher Danny Coulombe to Texas, and utility man Willi Castro to the Cubs. Minnesota’s return includes outfielder James Outman, starting pitcher Taj Bradley, and a litany of prospects. Joe Ryan starts for the Twins against Cleveland tonight.
