(Mitchell, SD) — The Mitchell City Council will discuss a possible renaming of public land to honor a former mayor. Today’s agenda will involve the consideration of a resolution to rename Public Beach Park on Lake Mitchell to Sebert’s Beach, in honor of former mayor Lou Sebert. He served as Mitchell’s mayor from 2006 to 2012. Sebert died July 27th at 89 years old.
