(Bismarck, ND) — Three recreational and camping areas will reopen soon throughout North Dakota. Earlier this spring, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers suspended all services at the Beaver Creek, Hazelton, and Cattail Bay areas. Officials argued the closures were caused by cuts ordered by the Trump administration, which affected staff and budget resources. All three recreational and camping areas will reopen on August 14th, with Beaver Creek and Hazelton set to close on September 30th.
