MDU Receives $2M For Transmission Line In Southeast ND

(Wishek, ND) — Montana-Dakota Utilities is receiving millions in funding to build a new transmission line in southeast North Dakota. Two-point-one-million-dollars was awarded to fund a project to build a new transmission line between Wishek and Ellendale. Officials say it will enhance the electric grid’s sturdiness during extreme weather conditions. Construction for the seven-and-a-half-million-dollar project is expected to begin in late 2026.
