Construction Zone Speeding Violations Increase In ND

(Bismarck, ND) — Construction zone violations will cost North Dakota drivers more money. Pee Wee’s bill went into effect last week, which increases the minimum traffic fine when workers are present in a construction zone. Anyone cited for a violation will now pay 150-dollars compared to the previous 80-dollars. Over one-thousand-300 car crashes in work zones were reported between 2019 and 2024, with nine deaths as a result. Officials hope the new law will promote safer roadways for workers and drivers.
