GRAND FORKS, N.D. – University of North Dakota head hockey coach Dane Jackson announced on Wednesday that forward Tyler Young has signed a valid Grant-In-Aid (GIA) and will join the program for the 2025-26 season. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

“Excited to add Tyler to our group,” said Jackson. “He will help continue to improve our depth up front by having collegiate experience while also bringing a high-compete and high-energy game to our lineup.”

Young joins the Fighting Hawks after spending the first three seasons of his career at Merrimack, where he tallied six goals and five assists in 55 career games.

The Falmouth, Mass., native had his best offensive campaign in 2024-25, notching six tallies and 10 points while serving as an assistant captain. He was productive against top opponents as well, with four of his six goals coming against teams reaching the NCAA tournament.

North Dakota will aim to add one more player to its roster for the upcoming season.
