(Sioux Falls, SD) — The Sioux Falls triple murder trial intensifies as jurors hear key evidence in the case against Justin Rackley. He’s accused of killing three people and hurting two others last summer. Yesterday, a lead detective testified that Rackley had one of the victim’s phones on him when arrested. A forensic expert also said Rackley’s DNA was found on the murder weapon, alongside DNA from a surviving victim. Investigators also linked an empty gun box found in Rackley’s home to the weapon used in the crime. The defense claims Rackley was in a fight and that his DNA on the gun isn’t surprising, but both surviving witnesses say he pulled the trigger. The judge says the case could go to the jury as soon as some time today.
