(Mandan, ND) — The City of Mandan will have more money set aside for its general fund. City officials recently updated the general fund balance policy to guarantee financial stability over the next few years. The update will also increase Mandan’s credit rating for federal bond issuers. A 25-percent cash reserve will now be held to create a three-month emergency fund for operating expenses. This comes after North Dakota passed a new law that limits local property tax increases.
