(Minot, ND) — Minot officials are receiving funding to reduce the potential lead in the city’s drinking water. The state’s Department of Environmental Quality recently announced over 36-million-dollars in loans has been allocated to four different cities to address lead sources. Minot received short of 30-million-dollars in loans to replace all lead service lines in the city. The material in at least eight-thousand unknown water service lines will also be examined and potentially replaced.
