Fargo Communications Officials Resigning Following Complaint, Public Criticism

(Fargo, ND) — Four members of Fargo’s communications team are resigning amid an internal investigation into workplace conditions.

On Tuesday, Chief Communications Officer Gregg Schildberger, Deputy Chief Katie Ettish, and managers Ryan Green and Emily Groth submitted their resignations. All four members cited similar reasons for their resignation, including strained inter-department relationships and a toxic work culture. This comes after a complaint was filed against them by a former employee in April and recent criticism of the city’s verbal response to violent crimes in the last two weeks.

Their resignations are effective at the end of the day on August 17th.
