Grand Jury Indicts MN Lawmaker Murder Suspect

(Minneapolis, MN) — The man accused of the murder of Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman has been indicted on state charges. A grand jury indicted Vance Boelter on first-degree murder charges on Thursday. Boelter is accused of shooting and killing Hortman and her husband at their home on June 14th. He’s also accused of shooting State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, who both survived the attack. Last month Boelter was indicted on several federal charges including murder, for which he could face the death penalty if convicted.
