(Sioux Falls, SD) — A DUI investigation in Lincoln County turns into a high-speed chase and crash Saturday night. Deputies and Game Fish and Parks officers were checking a driver at the Lake Alvin boat ramp when she refused to get out and tried to drive away, hitting a deputy and ramming a patrol car. The suspect, a 46-year-old Sioux Falls woman, fled at high speeds but crashed a few miles south of Lake Alvin. She was seriously injured and taken to the hospital, along with a deputy who was also taken to the hospital. The woman now faces several charges, including aggravated assault on law enforcement and eluding police.
