(Rapid City, SD) — A weekend shooting at the Central States Fair in Rapid City sends one teen to the hospital and another into custody. Police say the shooting happened Saturday night in the Pennington County Fairgrounds parking lot and involved a confrontation between people who knew each other. A teen boy has been identified as the shooter and is now in the juvenile justice system. So far, his name has not been released. One victim is recovering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The gun used was recovered after people at the scene tried to ditch it. Police say several people were detained Saturday night, and the investigation is still ongoing.
