(Grand Forks, ND) — The Red River Regional Council says that Grand Forks County needs thousands of new housing units by 2030 to meet growing demands. RRRC officials told county commissioners yesterday that just over 23-hundred homes need to be built as the state’s population grows. County officials have issued an average of 24 building permits annually over the past 20 years. Projections show that 483 homes must be built over the next five years to meet demand in Grand Forks County.
