(Minot, ND) — A flood mitigation project is nearly complete in Minot. City officials and contractors recently announced that the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Plan is substantially complete. Crews have since entered phase five of the project, which includes general inspections of completed work. Minot Public Works Director Jason Sorenson says a few smaller agenda items have to be checked off in the coming months before the project reaches full completion. The Stone Water Commission initiated the project in 2011 after record-setting flooding impacted the area.
