State Approves Over $760K for Airport Upgrades in SD

(Undated) — South Dakota’s two busiest airports are getting a boost for their expansion projects. The state Aeronautics Commission has approved over 760-thousand dollars in leftover funds from Senate Bill 144 — splitting it between Sioux Falls and Rapid City. Sioux Falls gets just under 350-thousand while Rapid City receives about 413-thousand. Rapid City Airport Director Patrick Dame says the funds will help move forward with the next phases of their multi-year, multi-million-dollar terminal upgrade — something they’ve been planning for nearly a decade to keep up with growing demand.
