(Mandan, ND) — Madan authorities are warning about another phone scam targeting residents. MPD says scammers are claiming to be Sergeant Jerod Allen or Lieutenant Collins from the Morton County Sheriff’s Office. The caller says a large amount of cash must be deposited into a kiosk, or a warrant for arrest will be issued. Authorities note that the phone number will appear to be from the Morton County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone who receives a call is advised to contact local law enforcement immediately.
