(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota Supreme Court is weighing whether to suspend a Huron attorney’s law license. Tucker Volesky faced the justices Wednesday over how he represented a client in a years-long family ranch dispute. The State Bar’s disciplinary board says Volesky filed frivolous lawsuits, made false claims about judges, and showed poor legal judgment. They’re recommending a 30-day suspension, but the court will make the final call. Volesky and his attorney say he’s remorseful and believe public censure would be more appropriate. The justices say they’ll issue a decision later.
