(Minot, ND) — Over a dozen people are applying for a vacant seat on the Minot City Council. Sixteen people filed letters of intent before yesterday’s deadline to file. Council members are scheduled to hold a 90-minute special meeting next week to decide on the next step. Officials could call for a special election or take a direct vote to appoint someone to the seat. The said candidate will serve the remaining term for the position, which expires next June.
