(Minot, ND) — Federal officials say two mid-air collisions were avoided in North Dakota during an incident with a B-2 bomber last month. The details were mentioned in a preliminary report released by the National Transportation Safety Board earlier this week. A passenger jet scheduled to land in Minot on July 19th was forced into a mid-air maneuver to avoid a bomber plane involved in a flyover at the North Dakota State Fair. Officials now say the bomber nearly collided with a second small private plane as it flew past the Minot Airport that same day. A final NTSB report including a full account of the incidents isn’t expected until sometime next year.
