(Minot, ND) — The Minot City Council is interviewing over a dozen applicants to fill a vacancy. Late last week, one of 16 applicants withdrew from consideration after realizing they wouldn’t meet the requirement of living in Minot for at least nine months before an election. Council members are now scheduled to interview the remaining applicants during today’s special meeting. Officials have the option to select an applicant to fill the vacancy or call for a special election. The seat became available after Mayor Mark Jantzer’s recent election victory.
