Mission Rallies to Build New City Pool by 2027

(Mission, SD) — The community in Mission, South Dakota, is rallying behind a campaign to bring back something it’s been missing since 2017 — a city pool. The old pool, built in 1967, was shut down for safety reasons, but now there’s a plan to build a new one nearby by 2027. So far, over 300-thousand dollars has been raised toward the more-than eight-million-dollar project, which supporters say will benefit not just Mission but neighboring communities like Rosebud and St. Francis. Local leaders call the pool more than just recreation, saying it’s about health, opportunity, and hope for the next generation. Donations can be made through the City of Mission’s website.
