(Undated) — The federal government is wrapping up an 18-million-dollar settlement with 12 people abused by former Indian Health Service doctor Stanley Patrick Weber. Weber worked at the IHS facility in Pine Ridge from 1995 to 2016, after being transferred there despite earlier suspicions of abuse in Montana. He was convicted in both states and is now serving multiple life sentences. In total, more than 32-million dollars has been recovered for 20 of Weber’s victims.
