(Minot, ND) — A new member is joining the Minot City Council. Council members voted to appoint Mike Hayes to fill the council’s vacancy left by newly elected Mayor Mark Jantzer. Hayes has worked in home construction for over three decades as the owner of Four Seasons Construction. He says his top priorities are to pass a balanced budget while boosting the city’s income. Hayes was one of 16 initial applicants vying for the open seat and was officially sworn in yesterday.
