(Larchwood, SD) — The City of Larchwood is moving ahead with plans for a new community center, but the chosen location is stirring debate. The one-point-five million project is set for the southeast corner of Larchwood City Park, currently used for soccer and green space. Some residents want the council to reconsider, saying the park is the heart of the town. However, city leaders argue changing locations would mean starting the process over. Bids for construction will open on September 15th.
