(Bismarck, ND) — Bismarck Mayor Mike Schmitz says he will make a run at a second term in office. Schmitz announced this week that he is asking for four additional years to continue serving Bismarck and its residents. He promises to continue focusing on easing financial strain for unexpected road improvement costs and enhancing services for vulnerable populations, among other objectives. Mayor Schmitz was first elected in 2022 to the city’s nonpartisan office. Bismarck’s upcoming mayoral election is set for June 9th, 2026.
