(Cass County, ND) — Cass County Sheriff’s deputies say they are tracking down thousands of people with active warrants. County Sheriff Jesse Jahner says nearly two-thousand-900 warrants will soon be cleared after the Cass County Jail expansion was partially opened. Authorities were actively searching for 800 people with felony warrants during the expansion construction, but over two-thousand people with misdemeanor warrants are now a top priority. Jahner says overcrowding issues with limited bed space forced deputies to delay their efforts in recent months.
