South Dakota Drug Cases Rise From Recent Crack Down Efforts

(Rapid City, SD) — The U.S. Attorney’s Office in South Dakota says it has indicted 88 people on federal drug charges between April and August, targeting cocaine, fentanyl, and meth trafficking. According to the news release, the cases come from long-term, multi-agency investigations, including operations by West River task forces like Snowy Ridge, which led to 16 arrests in just two days. U.S. Attorney Alison Ramsdell says the office is committed to using every legal tool to hold drug traffickers accountable and protect South Dakota communities.
