(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota’s congressional delegation is requesting six million dollars in federal aid for the impacts of last month’s severe weather. Officials released a letter to President Trump on September 9th, stating that the August severe storm system and the June derecho event created a significant need for federal assistance. Senator John Hoeven says he believes the request will be approved soon. The letter was published just days before President Trump responded to a separate plea for federal funding for the June storms.
