(Aberdeen, SD) — Republican gubernatorial candidate Toby Doeden is sharing more about his encounter tied to Charlie Kirk’s death at Saturday’s Northern State football game. Doeden says a woman shoved him from behind and threatened him, telling him, “We got Charlie Kirk, you’re next,” while his daughter also heard the remarks. Campus security and police tracked down and arrested a suspect down outside the stadium. Doeden says he’s thankful for how quickly officers responded, adding there’s no place for violence in politics. The Aberdeen Police Department has not released any further details on the suspect at this time.
