(Lincoln County, SD) — A Beresford man is being sentenced to 50 years in prison for a deadly December 2023 crash that killed three people. Hayden Hall was high on cocaine and speeding when he lost control of his pickup, then fled the scene, stealing a car to get home. Hall pleaded guilty to three counts of manslaughter in July, and at Wednesday’s hearing, the judge heard from investigators and messages from passengers pleading with him to slow down before the crash. The victims, all young adults, died either on impact or shortly after. During sentencing, the judge and prosecutors emphasized the victims’ families will grieve for the rest of their lives.
