(Minot, ND) — The recycling mandate for Minot sanitation customers could be removed by next year. City leaders recently approved the first reading to remove the mandate, which would allow residents to opt out and have their recycling bins removed. The mandate program was first launched as optional in 2023 but later became mandatory for all customers. Officials will now have to approve a second reading before it is removed, starting next April.
