(Pierre, SD) — Senator Mike Rounds says South Dakotans deserve better mail service, and he’s pressing the U.S. Postal Service to fix it. Rounds wrote to Postmaster General David Steiner, saying letters and newspapers are sometimes taking weeks to arrive, even when sent within the state. He called the service decline unacceptable and added a jab at the end of his letter, saying he emailed it because if he mailed it, Steiner might not get it on time.
