(Sioux Falls, SD) — Thousands of runners hit the streets for the Sioux Falls Marathon on Sunday. More than two-thousand athletes took part in the full and half marathons, plus a 5K. Organizers say runners came from 48 states and even a few other countries. After canceling last year’s marathon because of the heat, race officials noted it was extra special to see the event back in full swing. Among the many stories behind reasons for running was a couple from Arkansas running their way through all 50 states and checking South Dakota off the list.
