(Glenn Ullin, ND) — The first public showcase has been unveiled for the final concept for Morton County Memorial Plaza in Glen Ullin. Yesterday, the Glen Ullin American Legion held an open house to encourage fundraising support for the project. The Morton County War Dead Committee is hopeful that private contributions will fully fund the new war memorial, with a base goal of one million dollars in fundraising. The final design is meant to replace the existing memorial in front of the Morton County Courthouse. Once completed, it will also include any missing names and address any other errors on the existing wall.
