(Grand Forks, ND) — An investigation is underway after Grand Forks authorities recovered a body from the Red River. Police say a deceased female was reported in the river around 12:28 p.m. yesterday. GFPD Lieutenant Andrew Stein also noted that the department is treating the death as suspicious “due to the circumstances of a body in the river.” A passerby reportedly found the body in the area about 200 yards north of the Riverside Dam boat ramp. The victim’s identity and cause of death have not been determined at this time.
