(Mitchell, SD) — A civil lawsuit is in motion against a Mitchell company a year after two workers died while repairing a silo near Volga. Court documents say the widow of 51-year-old Larry Dalzell is suing Heartland Tank Inc., claiming the company’s negligence led to his death from toxic gas exposure. OSHA previously fined the company 10-thousand dollars for seven serious safety violations tied to the 2024 incident. The case was filed earlier this month in federal court.
