(Rapid City, SD) — Attorneys for the Rapid City man accused of killing his father are working with mental health professionals to determine if he’s fit to stand trial. Nicholas Selig missed his first two court appearances after resisting officers and interrupting the judge while charges were read. He’s charged with the first-degree murder of his father, Vernon, and could face life in prison or the death penalty. Nicholas Selig’s next status hearing is set for November 18th.
