(Hillsboro, ND) — Riverview Farms is one step closer to developing its proposed mega dairy facility near Hillsboro. The Department of Environmental Quality approved the company’s permit yesterday for one of its two proposals for mega dairy sites in North Dakota. Once developed, the building would bring an estimated 37-thousand cows to Traill County. NDDEQ also approved a permit for Riverview Farms’ proposal for a second location in Richland County earlier this year, with crews already breaking ground on the project. A construction timeline for the Hillsboro facility has not been made official.
