NDDOT To Allow Mobile IDs By Next Month

news

(Bismarck, ND) — State transportation officials say North Dakota will soon join a mobile ID initiative. The North Dakota Department of Transportation recently announced that it will join 16 other states allowing drivers to add their licenses or state ID to a mobile wallet. U.S. passports can also be added to the virtual wallet, but can only be used for domestic travel. This will not be a full replacement for physical IDs and passports. North Dakotans can start accessing the function sometime next month.
