(Sioux Falls, SD) — South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says six inmates were stabbed during a fight at the Jameson Annex of the state prison last Thursday night. Five were hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and officials believe homemade knives, or “shanks,” were used. Jackley says the stabbing appears to have been a coordinated attack, and charges are expected soon as investigators review surveillance video.
