UND Loses $3.1M After Federal Funding Cuts, Navigating Grant Losses

(Bismarck, ND) — The University of North Dakota is navigating how to make up for over three-million-dollars in federal funding. Officials were notified of the funding loss in March following the Trump administration’s decision to make federal research funding cuts. UND says one-point-three-million-dollars alone were lost for its undergraduate research training and international research experiences for students, in addition to other losses. The school remains uncertain whether future funding cuts will occur soon.
