(Minot, ND) — Authorities are charging a man with attempted murder related to a stabbing incident in Minot. Isac Chaves-Zapata was arrested yesterday after he allegedly stabbed a co-worker at a restaurant in the southwest part of the city. A witness told police that both Chaves-Zapata and the victim got into a work-related argument before the suspect reportedly grabbed a knife from his work truck and stabbed the victim three times. The unidentified person suffered significant blood loss and liver damage, and they remain hospitalized. Chaves-Zapata now faces a Class-A felony, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison if convicted.
