(Watertown, SD) — A decades-old cold case in Watertown is back in the spotlight. Pam Dunn vanished from her home in 2001, and her body has never been found. Her boyfriend, Dave Asmussen, was convicted of kidnapping and is serving a life sentence. But his attorney now says that sentence was illegal and has filed a motion to change it. Dunn’s family says all they want is closure, while investigators believe Asmussen is the only one who knows what really happened. No new hearings have been scheduled.
