PSC Offers Public Input Sessions For Xcel Energy’s Utility Hike Proposal

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakotans can join public sessions this month regarding Xcel Energy’s proposal to increase electricity rates. The state’s Public Service Commission says the company proposed a 19-point-three-percent increase to raise electricity costs. The increase would add over 44-and-a-half-million dollars to the company’s revenue, as Xcel officials state they will explain the reasons for the proposal. The sessions are scheduled for in-person and online formats on October 13th at 12-noon and 6 p.m. in multiple cities in North Dakota. More details about the rate proposal and the public input sessions are available on the North Dakota Public Service Commission website.
