Treasury Secretary Bessent told CNBC this morning that an announcement is expected Tuesday on financial support, with assistance likely flowing through the Farm Credit Bureau to ensure farmers have access to needed resources. Meanwhile, USDA announced on its website that the October 9 WASDE report is postponed due to the government shutdown. Even if the shutdown ends quickly, in-field surveys and assessments normally conducted the first week of the month have been halted, which will likely push the report’s release back until that work can be completed.
