(Minot, ND) — Nearly one-million-dollars in grant funding will be allocated across three North Dakota Schools to improve education for Native American children. Turtle Mountain College will receive just over 360-thousand-dollars, the University of North Dakota will have nearly 300-thousand-dollars, and the Devils Lake School District will also be awarded over 290-thousand-dollars through the funding. Officials say the grant money is allocated by the Indian Children Program, which funds development, testing, and demonstration to improve education for Native American children. The funding will also help college students interested in becoming teachers and administrators.
