(Grand Forks, ND) — Governor Kelly Armstrong has issued a declaration to honor the memory of the late Marilyn Hagerty. The long-time Grand Forks Herald columnist and food writer died last month at age 99, as Governor Armstrong stated that “Hagerty is simply too unique to fit within the stodgy protocols of government memorials.” He also wrote that her talents “informed thousands and delighted millions.” Hagerty’s daughter and son will receive Armstrong’s declaration, which is marked with the Great Seal of the State of North Dakota.
