(Bismarck, ND) — Officials are celebrating the Bismarck Rural Fire Department’s newest facility. Yesterday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to unveil the three-point-two-million-dollar facility located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 83 and 71st Street. Fire Chief Dustin Theurer says the department will be staffed on a part-time basis, as officials work toward full-time staffing to enhance public safety and response times. The bulk of the funding for the facility came from COVID-19 relief funds to Burleigh County through the American Rescue Plan Act.
