(Helena, MT) — Kurt Alme is the new US Attorney for the District of Montana. Alme was confirmed by the US Senate during a confirmation vote this week, marking the second time he has held the position. He was also Montana’s US attorney during President Trump’s first administration. Alme formerly led the Montana Department of Revenue. Montana senators Tim Sheehy and Steve Daines applauded the appointment, saying Alme will “crack down on drug trafficking and crime.”
